Ornate Goddess Lakshmi Gold-Plated Sindoor Box

An exquisitely crafted, traditional Indian gold-plated container (sindoor box) designed for holding vermilion. The cylindrical body features a fine, embossed diamond-patterned texture. The lid is topped with an elaborate, detailed finial depicting Goddess Lakshmi in a seated lotus posture, surrounded by an ornate aureole. The lid also features a small, decorative starburst pattern accented with multi-colored enamel work (red, green, blue). The base and the edge of the lid are adorned with intricate borders of small golden beads, and a delicate, functional latch mechanism is visible on the front.
